Installing a wood or gas firepit directly on top of Feelingwood decking is not recommended. However, you may position a gas firepit beside or in between deck boards, ensuring you use a protective wall made of stone or another fire-resistant material for insulation.
The robust shell of our high-performance Feelingwood decking means it never requires painting or staining. The rich color and protective finish are inherently part of the shell, designed to resist rotting, splitting, splintering, and insect damage for the duration of the warranty. Additionally, painting Feelingwood decking may invalidate your warranty.
Most area rugs are suitable for use on Feelingwood decking, but we advise regularly cleaning underneath them. In rare cases, rugs made of plastic or viscose materials may bleed, potentially staining the decking or making them difficult to remove. Always ensure your decking is fully dry before placing a rug.

Feelingwood does not endorse the use of non-recommended fasteners for deck installation. If any issues arise due to the use of a non-recommended fastener, such conditions will not be covered under the Feelingwood Limited Warranty. Please consult our Installation Guide for more information.
